Located near the heart of Glacier Country, on the unique West Coast of New Zealand, Ribbonwood Retreat is a serene haven just a 5-minute drive from Franz Josef Glacier village. Set upon two and a half acres of manicured grounds, the property has native bush, lush lawns, and a myriad of birdlife. We believe in the transformative power of nature and its ability to heal, inspire, and rejuvenate the human spirit. Our purpose is to create a sanctuary where guests can disconnect from the hectic pace of modern life and reconnect with the beauty and serenity of Mother Nature. BED & BREAKFAST ACCOMMODATION
Immerse yourself in the beauty of Westland National Park, as our boutique stay offers two distinct accommodation options. The Cottage, a charming Scandinavian-inspired abode, provides a private, fully self-contained retreat with stunning glacier and mountain views. Relax on the deck, enjoy a plush King bed, and savour the magic of a West Coast sunset.
Alternatively, the Waiho Suite, a two-bedroom haven, offers exclusive use of the top floor of our host's home. Lose yourself in the breathtaking vistas of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, allowing nature to embrace and rejuvenate you completely.
Indulge in our delectable breakfast menu, featuring fresh produce from our garden and homemade and local ingredients. From mouthwatering fresh fruit crepes to hearty cooked breakfasts with Ribbonwood fresh eggs, homemade bread and preserves, or our vegan offerings the choice is yours. Embark on a culinary journey that delights the senses.
OUR SUITES
Ribbonwood Retreat has two suites. The Waiho Suite gives guests exclusive private use of the entire top floor of our home which sleeps two to three people. The private garden Cottage, is nestled separately amidst native plantings and can sleep two people.
